PROJECT DETAILS
The City of San Diego commissioned the Advanced Street Lighting Technology Assessment Project to evaluate the energy savings potential of broad spectrum street light from both LED and Induction light sources. The study was managed by the city and designed by Continuum's strategic partner Clanton & Associates. Data was collected by Virginia Technology Transportation Institute. Continuum helped to conduct the surveys and tests, as well as presenting on the Anchorage study and LED program at the project's symposium. The project team built upon data and methodology utilized in Anchorage in addition to utilized pedestrian targets and closed the road to reduce ambient light from the roadway.
